KRCA have a very exciting up-coming event next week.

On Thursday June 14th, the Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area will be hosting the launch of iSpot Southern Africa – a fantastic environmental website which enables citizen scientists to make real and meaningful contributions to the natural sciences and at the same time giving all an opportunity to glimpse the wonderfully diverse natural beauty we have on our own doorstep.

This will be an all day event (10:00 – 15:00) with a session at night (walk from 18:30 – 20:00, workshop and exhibition concurrently and afterward) to capture photos of night creatures – spiders, chameleons, frogs, mice etc.

· There will be field trips into the conservation area with the aim of spotting and photographing the wonderful biodiversity of the area

· Indoor workshops on the website with opportunities to download pictures taken in the field

· Indoor biodiversity exhibits.
